For Tehran-born, Chicago and Minneapolis-based ZIBA RAJABI’s sense::archivist residency at Princeton University, participants composed “visual poems.” Visceral relations of their own memories were re-embodied through a visual dictionary of painted materials Ziba had prepared for us.

Ziba Rajabi’s refusal to stretch the canvas was first an aspiration of return. It then became a critique of the traditions and institutions that would misread her. Her overlapping refusals lend density to the compact rectangular shapes she cuts....

WET::DRY::STITCH was a series of multi-sensory workshops led by Trinidad-based artist, SHANNON ALONZO, during her Tuttle Artist residency at Haverford College. Participants from the Greater Philadelphia area explored how hands think in acts of washing, working with charcoal, and stitching.
